I remember listening to JK Rowling being interviewed on radio when book 3 was released (in the UK) and she did say she planned to kill of some characters in the last book. At that point, she was thinking of killing off Harry Potter because she wants the series to end with Book 7 and, if Harry’s still alive, fans will always clamor for another book.
Dunno if this is still what she intends to do.

Khristine: That makes a lot of sense. I guess Harry Potter should really have an ENDING to prevent the series from being exhausted. It’s a little sad though because I wanted to think it would end on a high note but then again, who knows Thanks for your comment!
